Volunteers and Interns still needed!


Scientist and military working together towards a common goal:
the protection of the sea turtles.

Nesting season is approaching fast and we still have places available for volunteers and interns in our sea turtle conservation project on Boavista, Cape Verde.

Come and help us to protect the nesting turtles and the hatchlings from poaching and all kinds of disturbances such as littering, light pollution, vehicles on the nesting beaches, etc. You will also have the opportunity to be involved in the research projects and environmental education initiatives. 

Volunteers are needed mainly for Boa Esperança Camp and Fundo das Figueiras; details about the volunteer program can be found here

Also, we still have the following internship positions open:


Nest excavation
  • Tourism:
    • 3 places for Lacacao Camp
  • Leader for night patrols:
    • 5 places for Lacacao Camp
    • 4 places for Boa Esperança Camp
  • Census/morning patrols:
    • 2 places for Lacacao Camp
    • 2 for Boa Esperança Camp
